Fraud Fight Club

What do you get when you combine a passionate community of fraud fighters with a boxing ring and loads of knowledge and energy… Fraud Fight Club.

Fraud Fight Club was designed to be more than a conference. It’s a club. It’s your best fraud fighting pals (you know and don’t know) descending on NYC to talk shop, share best practices and network in an electric atmosphere.

Fraud Fight Club 2023 marked the inaugural year and lived up to the hype. Expert speakers from banks, credit unions, lending institutions, fintechs and beyond engaged in spirited conversation inside our makeshift boxing ring. We had awesome audience engagement which established a great vibe from session to session.

The topics ranged from ChatGPT & Scams to Check Fraud, spanning the new and old ways fraudsters are manipulating businesses and consumers. The panel on Real-Time Payments, Real-Time Scams was particularly interesting, as representatives from The Fed, The Clearing House, Zelle and JPMorgan Chase weighed in on the risks associated with real-time payments.

Scams are the most devastating fraud use case, and Cecilie Fjellhøy weighed in with the victim perspective, as one of the victims of the Tinder Swindler. We dedicated a few sessions to talk directly to fraud teams about how to get budget for fraud fighting tech and how to build a top notch fraud fighting department. We wrapped up Fraud Fight Club with a super interesting session on Fraud Fusion Centers, which are becoming a popular way to blend your fraud and cyber teams.

There’s not enough room to discuss every session, but we were super pleased with the quality of content and grateful to the expert speakers who lent us their time.

Outside the sessions, the best fraud fighting tech was on display in the exhibit hall. Practitioners engaged with innovative solution providers and learned what weapons were in their fraud fighting arsenal.

No club is complete without awesome networking opportunities, which Fraud Fight Club provided. From 15 min speed dating meetings to social gatherings and happy hours. There were so many different ways to interact with fellow fraud fighters and make connections that last well beyond the show.

All in all, year one proved to be an awesome launch for Fraud Fight Club. And the best part being… we’re only getting started!
