Solutions that focus exclusively on crypto risk. This includes a variety of Fraud & AML use cases for Financial Institutions and Crypto Exchanges. They often leverage strong data sets and technology to protect institutions as money moves from crypto to fiat and vice versa.

The hallmark of these solutions is their ability to orchestrate data, analytics and decisions across a variety of solution providers throughout the customer journey. They may include additional features and functionality, but the defining component is the aforementioned orchestration functionality.

 

Identity & Authentication:

These solutions include a variety of technologies and channels. However, their core functionality is to analyze risk at the point of authentication. This includes but is not limited to, technology focusing on 3DS and use cases such as account takeovers, credential stuffing, spoofing, and a variety of other authentication challenges that lead to fraud.

 

  • 3DS Focus: Solution’s primary focus is some element of the 3DS authentication process
  • Authentication focus: Solution’s primary focus is the authentication portion of the customer journey
  • Device & Behavioral Intelligence: Solution’s primary focus is analyzing risk by leveraging device ID, behavioral biometrics or alternate signals that inform behavioral intelligence
  •  Call Center Focus: Solution’s focus is to solve various fraud use cases in the call center channel
  • Mobile Intelligence: Solution leverages mobile network operator data (+ other mobile centric data) and analytics to solve various type of fraud attacks

 

Identity & Verification:

These solutions include a variety of data and technology. However, their core focus is assessing the risk of identities/identity data to prevent fraud. This often occurs at the point of onboarding, but does not have to. The varying approaches can include frictionless risk scoring all the way to digital document verification. No matter the approach, consortium data is often leveraged in some capacity.

 

  •  Onboarding Focus: Solution’s primary focus is the fraud/KYC challenges associated with the onboarding stage of the customer journey.
  •  Geolocation: Solution’s primary signal is IP Address or another geolocation signal that enriches fraud risk scoring
  • Digital Doc Verification: Solution’s primary focus is verifying the risk of a document and identity through online channels.
  • Merchant Consortium: Solution whose primary value driver when detecting fraud is their consortium of merchant data
  • Dark Web: Solution whose primary value driver when detecting fraud is leveraging dark web data
  • Peer to Peer Network: Solution who leverages peer to peer data sharing when detecting fraud, without sharing any sensitive data or identifiable information
  •  Compliance & AML Focus: Clear focus on compliance, KYC and AML related challenges
  • PII Verification: Solution leverages consortium databases to verify a variety of PII and other identity data points
